Why do we use heart rate
training?
It has been well established that heart
rate (Hr) is the best indicator of how hard the body is working as
a whole. Using Hr is a safe and objective way to measure
intensity in your workout.
Heart rate training has been shown to be
more effective than simply training at max effort and is clearly safer.
This is why we use it for all our fitness boot camps and now
personal training. Heart rate training prevents over training
and helps you gauge your intensity by slowing down when your Hr
is too high (we teach you what that number is) and speeding up
when it gets to low. So in boot camp every one gets the max
benefit without over doing it!
