That depends on several things. How much weight is "possible" is ALOT! How much is safe is about 2 pounds a week, or 6 pounds. You could lose more then that, but you GREATLY increase your chance of regaining the weight loss plus 10-15% more than you lost. Also losing more than 2 pounds a week means most of the weight you lost is water and not fat. Fat just doesn't burn very fast (which is one of the reasons it makes a great storage tool for our bodies).

In short 6 pounds should be your goal for a 3 week period. If you are trying to lose more just consider this a warning of the impending weight gain.
